Coming from a coworking space, Transition, a new energy focused VC fund, was looking to create their first workspace in London. Transition required a personalised environment that reflected their commitment to sustainability, providing an impressive setting for client meetings and events. The 2,500 sq ft workspace demanded a design that balanced high-end aesthetics with eco- friendly principles.
The Solution
Given the building’s industrial nature, a Scandinavian-inspired design featuring light and dark timbers and beige tones was adopted to create a warm, welcoming environment. Sustainability was at the heart of every decision, with PEFC-certified wood flooring and Durat worktops made from recycled white goods. We retained character through the exposed bricks in the teapoint, further adding to the warmth of the space. The reception boasts a bespoke feature bookcase and an elegant AV wall, while engineered wood flooring from Domus adds sophistication throughout the workspace. Meeting rooms were built alongside the plasterboard ceiling, ensuring easier partitioning and improved acoustics while minimising waste. This thoughtful blend of style and sustainability resulted in a functional, eco-friendly office space that embodies Transition’s values and meets their needs.
