A strong sense of brand identity and privacy were among some of the priorities for the Port of London Authority’s (PLA) new workspace. Located at the BREEAM Excellent-Rated Walsingham House, the goal was to transform PLA’s 3,500 sq ft headquarters into a dynamic working environment suitable for its meeting-centric working style.
The Solution
The welcome experience was crafted to emulate PLAs brand, from the blue painted exposed ceiling to the LED lights on the raft-life structure, the reception was designed to create a memorable first impression. The open reception doubles as a formal meeting area with high-back sofas that blend casual comfort with corporate style. Five river-themed meeting rooms echo PLA’s brand identity and are equipped with smart glass for on-demand privacy. Deep blues and energising yellows sweep through the space, from the carpet runners that segment the workspace zones to the acoustic panels that offer a visual and auditory buffer. These elements are not just functional but contribute to the wider connection of the workspace to PLA’s identity.
