We partnered with FOMO Rentals, a growing camera rental company, to transform an old workshop into a vibrant coworking hub that doubles as their London HQ. With a tight budget and big ambitions, we set out to create an inspiring workspace that promotes productivity and creativity while staying true to the building’s industrial roots.
Industrial Charm and Biophilic Design
Working alongside the architect brought in by FOMO Rentals, we embraced the building’s character to deliver an open and agile workspace. The existing greenhouse-style roof naturally lent itself to a biophilic design, flooding the space with light and creating a fresh, inspiring atmosphere. We took a sustainable approach by repurposing old workbenches left by the previous tenant, converting them into hotdesking units perfect for a hybrid workforce.
A Thoughtful Space for Big Ideas
OSB flooring, made from reconstituted chipboard, was chosen for its cost-effectiveness and industrial aesthetic, while second-hand furniture added personality to the space and aligned with the project’s sustainability goals. The finished space includes open-plan desking, phone booths, breakout areas, and a central teapoint. Every detail was considered to balance functionality, style, and budget, delivering a workspace that FOMO Rentals and their coworking community can thrive in.
