Q&A

Meet our latest recruit, Emily! A passionate and creative Designer, constantly on the lookout for the most current trends. Emily takes a project from concept to completion, working closely with her clients to bring their dream office to life.

What makes Two special?

It’s a breath of fresh air working at Two. I’ve never met such a welcoming bunch of people who are all so motivated to do well in their own roles. The majority of our clients are up for doing things a bit differently which I love as it allows me to be more creative when coming up with design concepts. The team structure here is great too. There’s no hierarchy, everyone’s here to help one another which makes Two stand out against other companies I’ve worked at.

What gets you up in the morning?

Knowing that I’m going into the office surrounded with friendly, motivated people helps me get up for sure. We have a lot of fun, but we also work hard and are passionate about what we do. It’s the perfect balance.

What motivates and drives you?

The completed project. Seeing a client’s face when they first step into their new office space is what motivates me to work hard to achieve their dream. There is no prouder moment than knowing I’ve created a space that will transform the way people work and feel in their office, after all it’s where people spend most of their day!

Biggest career learning curve to date? Or biggest lesson learnt?

It’s okay to ask questions, it’s the best way to learn. I used to be afraid to say I didn’t know how to do something out of fear of not looking good enough, but I’ve learnt a problem shared is a problem resolved. Someone will always know the answer and it’s the best way to learn for next time.

How do you stay creative? Where and how do you get inspired?

Social media, Pinterest and design TV shows are the places I look to for inspiration. Pinterest is my best friend. I have so many boards with inspiring images which spark my creativity for different projects.
