The challenge
CCP Games faced a transformative decision: to relocate from their current space to a new building in London Bridge, nestled within the vibrant Tea Auction House as part of the Hayes Galleria development. Their vision encompassed a need for a larger, brighter, and more adaptable workspace, in line with their headquarters in Iceland. With flex working evolving due to COVID-19, the challenge was to create a fun and commercially appealing environment while integrating essential elements like better acoustics and high-spec AV systems. The 10-week timeline added to the complexity of the project, which demanded innovative solutions to foster collaboration and enhance employee experience.
The solution
In collaboration with Platfform, we embarked on a comprehensive revamp of CCP Games’ new workspace, embracing the desire for a vibrant, yet functional environment. To meet their needs for adaptability and technology, we prioritised high-spec AV systems that could seamlessly accommodate future upgrades. Our design team strategically incorporated features such as captivating tiling and acoustic panels to create a visually engaging and acoustically enhanced space. Focused on bringing people back into the office, we curated an inviting all-hands Teapoint as the heart of social interaction, with a dedicated gaming room for added entertainment. Throughout the project, we ensured that the design maintained a harmonious balance between playfulness and commercial appeal, aligning with CCP Games’ vision and the unique character of the Tea Auction House. Within the tight 10-week timeline, we successfully transformed the space, surpassing expectations and providing CCP Games with an extraordinary workplace that reflects their identity and fosters productivity and creativity.
