The challenge
Can you inject an old building with a faulty mechanical system and dated fit out with a new lease of life? This was the challenge set by Work Life for their Liverpool Street location. The layout of the building had its own set of challenges and wasn’t like other Work Life locations, think traditional, cellular office layouts. We set out the to create the Work Life journey whilst repurposing and retaining the existing space, all while staying on budget.
The solution
Our solution? We removed the suspended ceiling, raising the overall building height up and exposing the services. This helped make the space feel far more bright and airy! Using a soft Scandinavian inspired design concept, we stripped back the scheme to make the building feel more modern and light. Soft powder blue and pink hues contrast and complement the bold geometric pattern used throughout the joinery elements. Joinery element, phone and railway booths were just a few of the ways we modernised the space, using on brand finishes and colours, making them more in-line with Work Life’s aesthetic.
