The Challenge
Can you create a space that meets employee needs whilst also maximising client privacy? This was the main focus for Nolan Partners, when they came to us for help with their office relocation. As Nolan began to outgrow their serviced office location, they turned to us to help them establish their own workspace. Our team was thrilled to embark on this exciting relocation journey alongside this dynamic company. However, as is often the case with change, unexpected circumstances arose. Due to factors beyond the client’s control, we had to change the building during the initial stages of the project. This meant the original space plans had to be revised to accommodate the same requirements but in a smaller area. With a tight deadline of 5 weeks, we immediately got to work!
The Solution
The successful completion of the project can be attributed to several key factors. To ignite the project we held workshops with the client team, presenting mood boards, to help establish the overall desired look and feel for the space. To ensure client privacy, we implemented a clear separation between the front and back of house. The front of house consists of three meeting rooms, a lounge space, and an area dedicated to hot desks. In the back of house, we arranged 14 desks and a designated hot desking area. Given that the space is located in a new building, we opted for Crittall effect glazing on the glass partitions, juxtaposing the naturally modern architecture, evoking a sense of heritage. To infuse warmth and add character, we introduced a Herringbone vinyl floor. For the hot desks, we utilised coloured paint on the frames to create a lively and vibrant atmosphere. We are so pleased with the finished space, and are proud to have contributed to the future success of the team at Nolan.
